Port Huron Housing Commission

Sections:

The Housing Commission implements the Federal Housing and Urban Development low-income senior and family housing programs. This Department operates financially independent from the City receiving its operating money from rents received and Federal housing subsidies.

The Housing Commission manages and maintains six subsidized housing sites. Three are designated for family living and three for senior living. These sites have been named for their historical significance on recommendations of the St. Clair County Historical Society.

The first four sites were named after the four villages that merged to form the City of Port Huron. The fifth site was named after the builder of Fort St. Joseph, Daniel Greysolon Dulhut.
