Thomas Edison Parkway...is one of our newer and more popular
areas. 4700 feet of waterfront where the St. Clair River and Lake Huron
meet. A measured walkway makes it popular year round for walking, jogging
and biking. A good spot for boat watching! |

On June 14, 2002 (Flag Day), the International Flag
Plaza was dedicated and will serve as a tribute honoring all those
who respond to 911 calls in the United States and Canada. This
project will be financed by the sale of memorial bricks and public
donations. Memorial bricks are available for purchase.
Located at the State St and Thomas Edison Parkway intersection just
north of the Blue Water Bridges.

Waterfront Parks: The city of Port Huron owns and operates 17
waterfront areas containing 102 acres and 3 1/2 miles of water frontage.
This includes two public beaches and six parks with picnic facilities. The
city has nine scenic turnout sites containing over 250 parking spaces that
are used throughout the year and filled to capacity most afternoons and
evenings during the warmer months. Port Huron operates the largest
municipal marina system in the state and has five separate locations for
boat mooring.

Lighthouse Park |
Lighthouse Park...one of the most historic
parks in the area with 900 feet of waterfront and beach on Lake
Huron. Close to the mouth of the St. Clair River you'll find the water
clean for good swimming; however, the current is swift. You'll love the wonderful
Fort Gratiot Lighthouse. Picnic areas
are available

Lakeside Park...on the clear waters of Lake Huron, boasts 1050
feet of water frontage with clean, sandy beaches. Lifeguards are on duty
during the summer season. Lots of playground facilities, picnic areas
and restrooms are available. Beach volleyball is a new sport of interest
here and on the weekends you will find lots of boats anchoring off shore to enjoy the
swimming and socializing. Located north of Holland Ave. and Gratiot
intersection across from Lakeside Cemetery. |

Marina Facilities |
City Marina
Facilities...is the largest marina facility operated by a city in
Michigan, one the Port Huron area is proud of.
The slips at the Quay Street and River Street locations are used
almost exclusively for transient boat traffic, while the remaining
sites at the other locations offer seasonal service and are utilized
on a "as available basis" for transient traffic when other locations
are filled to capacity. Marine operations also include two boat launch

Pine Grove Park...the wonderful jewel of our area, is one of our
older and most popular parks. You can almost see hoop skirts, picture
hats, high hats and horse drawn carriages of years past. A gazebo adds
to the flavor. The sweep of 1500 feet on the river gives a clear view of
ships passing and the fishing off the boardwalk is a popular pastime
throughout most of the year. Picnic areas, softball diamond, playground
equipment and shuffleboard courts add to the fun. Portable restrooms
are available and there is a concession stand on site during the summer. A favorite for community programs, family
reunions or just a stroll on a summer evening. Located north of the

| Lincoln Park...on
Electric and Military between North and South Boulevard, is a lovely
area. The rose and perennial gardens are a
favorite to stroll through on a summer's day. Often the site of jazz/blues festival or barbecue. Outdoor tennis and basketball courts are
a favorite along with the playground equipment and picnic tables. A
natural bowl provides good winter sledding.

Lincoln Park Turnout...just south of downtown
offers 260 feet on the water where boat watching and fishing are "king".
An excellent place for "watching" activities.
Located adjacent to Lincoln Park on the St. Clair River.

Kiefer Park...combines the riverfront walkway on
the river by the Municipal Office Center and the Water Reclamation
Facility. 1830 feet of walkway provides a breathtaking view and excellent
fishing. Wonderful for walkers and joggers who love the view!

Court Street Swimming Pool...offers a
wonderful swimming pool and "toddler pool" with dressing room facilities.
Tennis courts adjoin the area and the whole thing connects with Memorial
Stadium and the Port Huron High School field and track facility. A great summer favorite.

Sanborn Park...has great variety in it's 41.7
acres, with 12 outdoor lighted tennis courts, an outdoor pool facility
that boasts a "toddler pool", dressing room facilities, diving area,
swim classes, swim team, swim exercise, etc. This heavily wooded park
also has playground equipment, a baseball diamond, outdoor basketball
courts and picnic tables. An indoor tennis facility is utilized
for lessons by
the city during summer months. Located on the northeast corner
of the Pine Grove Ave. and Sanborn St. intersection. |

Sanborn Nature Area...is adjacent to Sanborn Park. Its natural setting has a diversity of
plant and animal life and is frequently used by area teachers and
organizations as a resource for nature instruction. The trails
and bridge add to the unspoiled effect of the area for families and
individuals. Located 2 blocks east of the Pine Grove Ave. and
Sanborn St. intersection on Sanborn St. |

| Palmer Park...hosts a
Recreation Center building where the Recreation staff is housed. On
a natural ravine, the park provides excellent sledding and a flooded
skating rink in winter
months. The wooded park has
playground equipment and picnic areas for families. Leisure activity
events, community meetings, senior programs and a recreation room
with youth events are all popular here. A packed 7.8 acres of FUN!

Mansfield Park...on Stone Street at
Mansfield St. is truly a joy for children. A large play structure provides
room for many to climb and slide and crawl. Picnic tables and
benches make it easy for Mom or Dad to relax while the kids play.
Gratiot Park...is a
neighborhood park of 1.8 acres of playground equipment, basketball
courts and room to create your own fun. Located at Gratiot
Ave. and Hancock St. intersection.

Optimist Park...at 10th Avenue and Whipple Street is
another neighborhood park of 3.2 acres. This park is also the site
of the William "Bill" Robinson Skate Park that provides area
skateboarders a place to get together and hone their skills. Optimist
Park also offers a softball
field, playground facilities,
a shelter and picnic facilities.

Haynes Park...is close to the central business district
and the downtown marinas. A children's playscape is a feature of
this neighborhood park. Outdoor basketball courts attract play
from all. Located north of the 10th St. Bridge at Glenwood
St.
Heritage Park on the Quay...was dedicated June 5, 2006 and is
located on the southwest corner of Quay St/Huron Avenue next to
the Military Street Bridge.
K.I.N.D. Tot Park ...located at 12th St and Jenks.
Renaissance South Tot Park...is located on the north side
of Ashland Court in the Renaissance South Subdivision located in
the south end of the city off Electric Avenue and Moak St.
Tot Lot,11th and Division...offers an acre of fenced
play for the younger children, a "little gem" in the middle of the
city.
Tot Lot, 19th and Division...is a safe
neighborhood park with play equipment for the children.
Knox Field...at 24th and Dove Street has a myriad of facilities
with two softball fields.
16th and Dove Park...contains two softball fields,
basketball and
tennis courts and a walking wooded area. Softball
teams spend many summer nights at this park and cheers ring
throughout the evening.
